New York Central System - Spec 486 Boxcar Decal
NYC (alternate) version 1940s-50s, with filled-in stencil breaks in System Oval.
 
During the mid 1920’s, the New York Central purchased several Lots of 40ft steel boxcar loosely based on the earlier 50 ton steel  USRA boxcar design.
 
 
This decal set provides car-specific lettering  for one of four in-service cars, plus number-jumbles and additional reweigh info for any other car number.  

This set decorates ONE car, Full car-specific lettering is included for:
Lot 439-B, NYC 106568 (106000~106999) SSC - Hammond Ind, 1922
Lot 489-B, NYC 108107 (107000~108999) ACF - Buffalo NY, 1924
Lot 501-B, NYC 114176 (114000~114999) ACF St. Louis - 1925
Lot 532-B, NYC 120717 (120500~120898) ACF St. Louis - 1926 
 
The System Oval stencil breaks are filled-in, as the shops were instructed by NYC standards.
